Prof. Joseph M. N. Kakooza

Prof. Joseph M.N.Kakooza holds the following qualifications; BCL, LL.B, National University of Ireland, Dublin (1960); C.I.R, University of Oslo, Norway (1961), M. Litt, University of Oxford (1966), LL.M, Harvard Law School (1967).

He is a member of the, Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, London and an Advocate, of the High Court of Uganda and all sub-ordinate courts.

He comes to the firm with vast and valuable experience having been a Law Professor at Makerere University Kampala (Uganda), and University of Dar-es-salaam (Tanzania), a Judge of the High Court of Uganda, a member of the East African Community Arbitration Tribunal and the President of the Industrial Court of Uganda.

He is currently serving as the Chairman of the Uganda Law Reform Commission. Prof. Kakooza's main areas of interest are investment law, property law, intellectual property and family law.
