Tajdin Mitha

TAJDIN (TAJ) MITHA, is our latest addition to a team of experienced consultants. He has extensive experience in corporate, commercial, real estate and private client services. Taj’s practice has a strong international emphasis.

He has drafted and negotiated Agreements of Development Co-operation and Agreements for Economic Co-operation with Governments, drafted and negotiated joint venture agreements, asset and share purchase agreements, financing and security agreements and agreements relating to fiscal concessions, escrow agreements and escrow bank account agreements relating to international debt servicing and other performance obligations, protection of foreign exchange and investment risks, environmental assessments and safeguards relating to mining, energy, telecommunications, tourism and a diverse variety of other industrial and infrastructure projects both in the private sector as well as public – private partnerships.

He also played a lead role in the establishment of a representative office of the International Development Law Organization in Afghanistan, for which he also served as the first Diplomatic Representative.

Mr. Mitha also has extensive experience with corporate and commercial and real estate development transactions, including drafting and negotiating agreements sale and development of real estate, establishment of holding companies, and providing oversight for corporate reporting and compliance, establishment of not-for-profit organization, and registration of representative offices and foreign companies in Africa, Central Asia, Europe and North America.

Prior to joining us, Taj practiced at Richards Buell Sutton LLP. He has also served as Executive Vice President for the Aga Khan Foundation USA, Vice Chairman National Committee of Aga Khan Foundation Canada, Executive of Aga Khan Development Network and Legal Counsel with the Legal Services Department at the Secretariat of His Highness the Aga Khan in France.
