Elizabeth the Regional Governance Advisor – Southern Africa with World Vision International.
She obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) in International and Comparative Law (International Corporate Law) from the Southern Methodist University and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University. She also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Policy Analysis from the University of York, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
She is a member of the East Africa Law Society and the Uganda Law Society.
She specializes in corporate due diligence, compliance management and corporate governance.
Prior to becoming ‘Of counsel’ to the firm, Elizabeth served as a Senior Legal Associate with the firm and led SM Registrars (The Corporate Governance section) where she handled an extensive portfolio of corporate and non-profit clients advising them on corporate structuring, tax compliance obligations as well as compliance with local and regulatory frameworks. She also served as the firm’s secondee to the Capital Markets Authority in Uganda.
She acts as company secretary to a number of companies and serves as a governance advisor to noteworthy international organisations.
